Dare to be free, dare to go as far as your thoughts lead, and dare to carry that out in your life.
— Swami Vivekananda

In studio, together as teachers & students, this is our objective - to intentionally move our bodies along with the pace of our breath. Generally speaking, upward movements correlate with inhalations of the breath, and downward movements with exhalations.

Our classes are primarily vinyasa style including what we describe as Athletic, Creative, and Gentle. Vinyasa is also called flow because of the smooth way that the poses run together. Vinyasa is a type of yoga that links movement and breath to attain balance in the mind and body. From the Sanskrit “to place in a special way,” vinyasa aligns a deliberate sequence of poses with the breath to achieve a continuous flow.

Classes will incorporate fundamental standing & seated yoga poses moving at an intentional, steady pace. Expect a strong emphasis on developing a steady breath and moving continuously, with varying degrees of holds in poses.

Creative + Athletic classes are appropriate for all levels of yoga practitioners. If you’ve never practiced yoga and are an active person, you should be fine with no prior yoga experience. If you have never practiced yoga before and are new to working out, we recommend starting with our Gentle Vinyasa or Yin class. If you have questions, send us an email and we’ll help guide you.

All classes are 60 minutes. If it’s your first time at our studio, please show up 10-15 minutes in advance to register. Remember to bring a mat, block, water, and towel.

Everyone’s practice is their own. It’s personal. Our teachers are here to guide you, but feel free to make your practice your own. Start by choosing a class type: Athletic, Creative, Gentle, or Yin. Then find freedom to take your own poses in class. Rest when you need rest, and go deeper when your body calls for it.

athletic vinyasa

A more vigorous, fitness-based approach to vinyasa-style yoga. Athletic vinyasa incorporates the athleticism of the Ashtanga yoga style, including lots of vinyasas and gives our teachers the flexibility to create custom flows, making every class different. These classes emphasize strength and flexibility.

All Levels for Yoga Practitioners. Room temperature is generally set in the 80s.

creative vinyasa

It includes but is not limited to Ladder flows, Prana flows, Mandala flows, Themed classes, Alignment based classes, Peak Pose classes, Inversion Prep classes & Chakra aligning sequences. Classes may also include meditation and pranayama (breathing) exercises.

All Levels for Yoga Practitioners. Room temperature generally set in the 80s.

gentle vinyasa

This is an easeful, intentional style of yoga that is a great way to unwind and to create space in your body & mind. These classes move at a slow steady pace to allow time for you body to find proper alignment.

All Levels for beginners to experienced. Room temperature is generally set in the 70s.

Yin Yoga is a complementary yoga practice to more dynamic and active yoga styles. In Yin Yoga, floor postures are held passively for several minutes in order to access a safe and positive ‘stress’ on the deeper layers of connective tissue in the body.  Physically, Yin Yoga restores and maintains the natural mobility of the joints, primarily between the navel and the knees. Energetically, Yin Yoga opens the body’s meridian system, which enhances the body’s energetic flow and supports emotional equilibrium. The practice prepares the body and mind for deeper experiences in meditation. The emphasis is stillness and silence.

All Levels for beginners to experienced. Room temperature is generally set in the 70s.
